Updated: 2022-01-27 10:02:22

Jingzhou Garden Expo Park is holding the 3rd New Year Lantern Festival from January 25th to March 6th, creatively incorporating the elements of Chinese festival culture and Jingchu culture. On the basis of the traditional lantern group, the Park will specially add advanced sound, light and electricity technologies to the dazzling light show and the water curtain light and shadow show in Jiuge Square and Gaoshanliushui to create an artistic scene full of imagination for citizens to experience a different New Year Lantern Festival.

The inheritors of intangible palace lanterns from Zigong, Sichuan, personally made more than 40 groups of large lanterns and nearly ten thousand lanterns. The first thing that caught your eye after you walk into the Park is a group of lanterns with a length of 37 meters and a height of 13 meters. Since this year is the Year of the Tiger, these brightly colored and lovely tiger-shaped lanterns have naturally created a festive atmosphere. Along with all kinds of uniquely shaped lamp belts, there are the lantern group "Wonderful Winter Olympics Scenes" with the theme of "Winter Olympics", the online popular lantern group "Tree of Life" designed through personification, the lantern group "Good Luck and Prosperity" designed with the theme of lying deer from Jingchu culture, which combines auspicious clouds, green hills, cranes and other elements, and the lantern group "Spring Snow" with "bamboo blowing" (one of the "eight tones" with Chu music as the creative source) as the main element. All these unique lantern groups not only present Jingchu culture to the world, but also symbolize good wishes for the New Year. The 3rd New Year Lantern Festival in Jingzhou Garden Expo Park will be celebrating the New Year along with citizens!

Jingzhou Garden Expo Park is the venue of the 2nd (Jingzhou) Hubei Garden Expo, covering an area of 1,550 mu, with 17 city and prefecture gardens, 10 county gardens and 16 gardens for garden works. With the themes of "Chu Yun", "Chu Geng" and "Chu Yi" respectively, the event aims to present visitors with the unique landscape of Hubei and the unique culture of Jingchu. Fengling Pavilion, the main pavilion, with the theme of "Prosperous Chu State and Jingzhou", presents the whole course of Chu State's birth, development and growth in many dimensions, and the 800-year-long prosperity of Chu State through modern scientific and technological means such as virtual interactive games, three-dimensional gauze meditation space, holographic nano interactive screen, three-dimensional white mold curved surface projection, LED ring-shaped theater, etc., bringing unique and interesting experience to visitors.
